Nestled on picturesque hillsides near the village of Saratoga, Cooper-Garrod Estate Vineyards is a family-owned and operated estate winery with scenic – yet easy – access. Their historic tasting room, the Fruit House, was built in 1922 and welcomes visitors 12 to 5 p.m. weekdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends. Co-located with Garrod Farms Riding Stables, the ranch has a relaxing atmosphere that makes it a great destination, including family and group outings.  It’s perfect for a picnic to enjoy with their hand-crafted, small-lot wines. Your Picnic Guild order will be there waiting for you!

Here, you taste wine where the grapes are grown. The 28 vineyard acres are located on a 120 acre ranch that has been in the family since 1893, spreading across hillsides overlooking what is today known as Silicon Valley.  Friendly tasting room staff often includes members of the 4th or 5th generation of the Cooper and Garrod family who live and work there. A visit to Cooper-Garrod is like taking a step back in time – to a real working ranch and people who are proud of what they produce with their own hands. An artisan picnic from The Picnic Guild is the perfect way to accompany this timeless experience.
